KICKSTART YOUR MARKETING Year

It’s January. A fresh start to the year. A great time to get your marketing house in order.  Here are four questions to get you off to a great start. 

  • Do you have clear goals, and are they clear to the team and your partners?

    • How will you know 2026 was a success? Set milestones now to measure your progress throughout the year.

  • What’s been working? What’s not working?

    • Don’t solve it now, but identify and prioritize the problems that need to be addressed this year.

  • What’s the plan?

    • Marketing plans can exist in hundreds of different forms or structures, but the right form is whatever form you need to make your plan happen. Start with timelines working backward from the in-market or event date. Factor in the people that need to be involved from direction, decision-making and doing. Think through critical inputs, potential barriers and team capacity and resources. Put it on paper.

  • What’s a task you’ve been putting off but want to accomplish this year?  

    • Expanding your photo library, solving your file storage and management issues, updating out-of-date marketing materials? Now is the time to make a plan to address at least one task that will never be top priority.

       

It will be busy before you know it, so pause now and set yourself up for success!
