Digital marketing and media changes in an instant. The things you knew a month ago have to be checked again to make sure they are still true.

That is why digital marketing events are so key. All the podcasts, eNewsletters, webcasts and personal interactions don’t add up to enough.

But the events I have attended have been lacking. Either they are focused on specific niches that aren’t relevant or so agency-specific that brands suffer. The worst ones send me home without any notes on how to be better in my own work. Plus, the expense is also a challenge, since the best ones typically are on the coasts.
