Two new hires who will further strengthen both the public relations and media capabilities at the rapidly growing firm have been announced by Rooster Strategic Solutions. Both of these new employees have strong backgrounds in agriculture.

Sara Borchik Wade joins Rooster as senior public relations strategist. She most recently worked five years as an independent contractor providing content for the marketing and communications teams at several leading-edge agricultural companies and agencies, including Farmers Business Network, Merck Animal Health and Verdesian Life Sciences, among others.

Wade previously held marketing communications coordinator and marketing assistant positions at Pioneer Hi-Bred, and she also was a marketing specialist for H&R Agri-Power, one of the largest Case IH dealers in the U.S. with dealerships across five states. Wade began her career as a newswriter for Auburn University’s Samuel Ginn College of Engineering.

A Certified Crop Advisor (CCA), Wade is married to a fifth-generation farmer and involved in a western Kentucky farm operation producing corn, soybeans, wheat, grain sorghum and hemp, in addition to managing her communications career. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural communications from Auburn University.

Erin Marie Jansen also joins Rooster as a media coordinator. She most recently was the poultry sales and marketing specialist at GrassWorx LLC in St. Louis, where she developed nest pad solutions for industry stakeholders, created marketing materials for web, print and social media, and managed the company’s presence at national and regional trade shows.

Jansen has also held marketing and analyst positions at BIS Commodities in Cedar Rapids, Ia., the Seed Science Center at Iowa State University, and worked as a veterinary administrative assistant in equine care. She holds two Bachelor of Science degrees in agricultural business and animal science from Iowa State University.

“Rooster remains committed to serving our clients with the best and brightest minds in the food and agricultural industries,” says company founder and CEO Josh Turney. “Sara and Erin both have the qualifications we look for and are great additions to our team.”
