CLINTON, ILL., March 2, 2022 – Ashley Cox and Jenny Ring have joined Rooster to augment the firm’s capabilities in content marketing and public relations strategy, planning, execution and measurement.
Cox joins as senior content strategist and producer and will lead day-to-day content strategy, planning and development across all Rooster clients. She will also collaborate closely with creative and production teams, as well as the Rooster digital team, to align client content marketing goals to brand storytelling, as well as to measure and optimize campaigns to ensure positive results.
Cox was most recently brand supervisor at Barkley, where she served as the agency lead for all content production projects on the Motel 6 and Planet Fitness accounts. Before Barkley, she was a brand manager at Boulevard Brewing Company leading strategy, branding and creative in collaboration with marketing efforts, including new national product and brand releases, partnerships, public relations and advertising.
She also worked as an account manager at Osborn-Barr in Kansas City for Verdesian Life Sciences, where she rebranded that client’s thought-leadership blog; developed paid and organic social media strategies and content to increase technical and agronomic leadership positioning; and scripted and produced a monthly podcast on agricultural sustainability.
Cox is a graduate of Ball State University with a B.A. degree in public relations.
Jenny Ring joins Rooster as media relations manager and will be developing and pitching stories, creating articles and thought-leadership pieces, as well as monitoring and tracking earned media coverage on behalf of Rooster clients.
Ring most recently was director of communications for the Illinois Pork Producers Association (IPPA), where she developed and distributed messaging for both internal farmer and external consumer audiences via a monthly newsletter, social media channels, e-blasts and other communications vehicles.
Prior to her work at IPPA, Ring was a marketing manager at J.O. Harris Sales handling that company’s advertising and communications and orchestrating quarterly events as part of the “Farming Innovations Series” designed to showcase equipment. She also worked as a youth ambassador and intern for the Illinois Farm Bureau, where she coordinated an Illinois State Fair Master Showmanship Contest, developed student activities for the Illinois State FFA Convention, and established a Collegiate Farm Bureau at Western Illinois University.
Ring holds an associate degree in graphic design from Lincoln Land Community College and a B.S. degree in agricultural science from Western Illinois University. She and her husband Nathan remain actively involved with both families’ row crop farm operations and an Angus cattle herd.
